McLaren team and OKX jointly release exclusive 'Legend Reborn' livery for Singapore Grand Prix, paying tribute to the MP4 era
The McLaren team, in collaboration with leading on chain technology company and McLaren F1 team's official main partner OKX, has released a limited edition "Legend Reborn" livery design, which will be used for the McLaren MCL38 F1 car at the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix.
The 'Legend Reborn' livery was jointly designed by McLaren and OKX to pay tribute to McLaren's iconic MP4 era from 1981 to 1996. The MP4 series is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding F1 racing cars of all time, showcasing a true spirit of innovation, which is also a trait valued by both brands. This paint design combines elements of the MP4 era with McLaren's iconic papaya orange, paying tribute to the team's glorious history.
Legend Reborn made its debut at an exclusive track event held in Singapore, attended by Haider Rafique, OKX Chief Marketing Officer, Zak Brown, McLaren Racing CEO, as well as McLaren F1 team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
The livery also pays tribute to the legendary McLaren drivers, including Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Niki Lauda, who drove and helped create the iconic historical era of the MP4. The cockpit livery incorporates the names of 13 iconic drivers from that era.
The collaboration between McLaren and OKX focuses on innovation and enhancing the fan experience, while Legend Reborn takes McLaren's traditions as a springboard, evoking a unique nostalgia that pushes McLaren into the wider racing world.
The Legend Reborn livery continues the Senna tribute livery that was unveiled at the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year - the McLaren Senna presented by OKX.
McLaren's Chief Marketing Officer Louise McEwen said:

After this year's Senna event, this livery further reflects our partnership with OKX, and we will continue to provide unique brand stories for global car enthusiasts of both brands.
